What We Do

We love bikes. And we get the chance to race them around the country!

OZ Development Team is creating a place for the next generation of junior cyclists to hone their craft and prepare for the future.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a healthy, competitive environment among talented junior cyclists, including juniors aged 13-18, as well as U23 riders from around the Northwest Arkansas region.

Operating as a 501(c)(3) organization with professional, experienced coaches, we look to raise a generation of young cyclists who can compete at regional, national, and UCI world junior events.

“I’ve been riding for a couple of years, but this is the first time I’ve gotten the opportunity to go compete at big races across the nation.”

— Bryce, 18

Our Roots:

OZ Devo was founded in 2021 by pro cyclists Scotti Lechuga and Ernie Lechuga, who saw a need in Northwest Arkansas for a “next step” program for riders who maybe started in NICA programs, but want to explore racing at more elite-level competitions. Both the Lechugas believe the sport of cycling can change lives, and first and foremost want this program to prioritize the human side of sport. Having both competed at top levels, they act not only as coaches and logistical staff, but also as mentors.
